DES MOINES RADIO
Wow, where do I start…
Ok, 107.5 (KIIS-FM). Used to be my morning radio station until they picked up this new talk show that makes me ears bleed when I hear them talking about stupid and irrelevant topics. I need music, a little morning pick me up before I have to do that whole work deal.
106.3 (Capital), it is 2009. Did you notice that you’re way behind? Matchbox 20 is no longer extremely popular. Neither is Natalie Imbruglia’s “Torn” or any Tracey Chapman song. You’ve also ruined Matt Nathanson for me by overplaying him beyond reasonable belief. Don’t get me wrong, I own a Matchbox 20 album, have a guilty pleasure in pulling up “Torn” on my iPod, but come on…
102.5, Too much morning talk again, and I feel like I’m only satisfied 5% of the time when i tune into your station.
105.1 (Channel Q), I love you guys, but your signal in Des Moines sucks. Fix that, you’re the only reason why I don’t permanently listen to my iPod in the car in the morning on my way to work.
Bottom line here, just play some tuneage. Morning talk radio is so dry these days, it’s the same stuff over and over again. FM stand for “Freaking Music.” Move the boring shenanigans to the AM side of things, because I’m too cheap to get Sirius Satellite Radio in my Ford Taurus.
THE DALLAS COWBOYS
For those of you that love listening to me rant and rave, this page will be orgasmic for you. Seriously, no really…
I feel as if it is pretty obvious that I’m a diehard Green Bay Packer fan. So, you can bet if I get wind of an opportunity to rip the Bears, Vikings or Cowboys, I’m going to jump on it like a fat kid on a Twinkie. Let us discuss the latter today boys and girls.
Did anyone see how much a pizza costs at the new Dallas stadium? $60!!! Didn’t they learn anything from the New York Yankees? The Yanks were charging ridiculous prices for practically everything at their new stadium. We are in a recession, and if it’s me, I would be totally cool waiting for a $5 Little Caesar’s Hot n Ready to gobble up after the game. $60…now if that comes with the company of a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, that price tag may be a little more justified.
