My Fantasy Girl…

…is Sloan from Entourage. Anyone who hasn’t seen the show, is missing out on a great series, as well as the depiction of my perfect woman.

Okay, I really wasn’t going to go down that road, just thought it would pull some of you kids in. What I REALLY want to talk about is Fantasy Football. Now wait wait wait, before you click the X in your upper right corner, hear me out. I look forward to my Fantasy Football Leagues every year for much more than living out my dream job of being an NFL General Manager. It’s a way that I stay connected to a lot of my college friends and friends from home. Last night, I had a draft with a bunch of my college buddies. 4 of us in Iowa, 2 in Milwaukee, 1 in DC, 1 in NY and 1 in KC. I also drafted a league with guys from high school that are scattered between around the Midwest as well. Now in the first league, it is HIGHLY competitive beyond the small amount of cabbage that we put down for the winner. It’s pride, bragging rights…just downright bliss if you win the league. On the message board, we rip on each other’s faults and send props to those who are running a highly effective team. So to those who don’t necessarily understand it, go back to your crappy reality television shows, or the obscene amount of hours you spend on Facebook and don’t give us Fantasy Ballas a hard time.

I’m headed down to KC to see the Blink 182/Weezer/Taking back Sunday concert on Friday, as well as a Royals/Angels game later in the weekend. Anyone have a KC suggestion that would prove to be worthwhile for me? If I don’t post again before then, I wish everyone the best getting through the work week to your long Labor Day weekend.
